Canadian orders shipping update:

We are delighted to report that all orders without a clip-on cup holder have been shipped and you should already have received your tracking numbers.

 We are also happy to update that the second container of Hifold seats with a clip on cup holder reached our distribution center and were sent out yesterday. Tracking numbers will be communicated today

Australian update:

As you know from our previous updates, we have been working with our design and engineering teams and with local Australian child passenger safety experts, to develop a version of the Hifold fit-and-fold booster seat that will comply with the unique Australian standards. 

The redesign focuses on two elements: (i) the need to include a top tether on any Australian booster seat that weighs more than 2kg and (ii) the unique side impact test methodology in Australia, which requires a different headrest structure from the Hifold fit-and-fold booster seat that we sell everywhere else. 

This week, we conducted a series of crash tests with our Australian version prototypes. We are pleased with the results and we are now confident that will be able to finish the development of this model and bring it to market. 

This version requires a substantial amount of design and engineering work. It also requires the creation of new moulds and the modification of the existing moulds. Finally, once all this is done, we will only then be able to complete the regulatory process; which has to be done on actual production samples.  We estimate that this should be about six-month’s work and, if all goes to plan, we will be able to deliver your seats before the end of the year.

 We realise that this could be a big disappointment for some of you, who supported our campaign in the summer of 2018. If you can be patient, and bear with us while we progress with work, we will be delighted. We know that you will love your Hifold seats. We already have thousands of users worldwide and the feedback has been wonderful. As a thank you for your patience, we will give you an additional 25% discount on your seats when we eventually ship them and we will include a free Hifold clip-on-cup holder.

 However, if you are no longer prepared to wait, then as a gesture of goodwill, we will refund your contribution to the campaign. Crowdfunding with Indiegogo is not the same as buying a product, you are contributing to a campaign to help bring a product to market. Often, they are not successful, and your investment is lost. Despite the fact that we have no obligation to do so, it is important for us to give you the option of your money back. 

 If you decide to wait until the end of the year and we do not deliver or if you change your mind during the waiting time we will refund your contribution at any time.

 We have always been successful with our campaigns, we always deliver, and we will do so again for you as soon as we can. If you cannot wait them please write to support@mifold.com, quote your Indiegogo order number and we will arrange the refund.

Cup holder update:

The cup holders have arrived the US and tracking numbers have been sent out. Backers should receive their cup holders just before or just after the New Year depending on postal times.
